Why women’s football.

Women’s football at Austria is not an add-on but part of the club: it continues in full regardless of the first team’s league and belongs to the club’s philosophy – like academy, youth and inclusion.

Since joining forces with the Carinthians Hornets in 2025 the goal is clear: professionalise Carinthian women’s football, bring the best talents of the Alpe-Adria region to Klagenfurt and reach the top flight in the medium term. And: give every girl who wants to play football a place.

“Women’s football still often has to fight for recognition and public attention. I want to set an example here.”
