A club of its region.
Carried by Carinthian fans, shaped by Carinthian talent, rooted in Klagenfurt. On 1 June 1920 merchants found the Kaufmännischer Sportklub, still in blue and yellow, playing at Paternionerplatz. Seven years later, after merging with Klagenfurter SV, the name that lasts is born: Sportclub Austria Klagenfurt.
More than a hundred years, several names, several fresh starts. Banned and dissolved, kept alive in secret, registered anew. And one colour always came back: violet and white. That is not a marketing line but the foundation the club works on. Austria’s future grows out of the region.

What defines us.
Persistence in violet and white
The violet-and-white identity was reclaimed again and again – through dissolutions, renamings and fresh starts. A club that builds on its own strength and never gives up the ambition to play at the top again.
Our own youth as the foundation
Talents are developed at the club and brought up to the first team instead of being bought ready-made. They should stay in the region and find their future here – the way back to the Bundesliga runs through them.
A club for everyone
Academy, youth, women’s football and inclusion continue in full regardless of the league. 27 teams across five areas – more broadly rooted than ever.
Our living room.

Since 1959/60 Austria has played in Waidmannsdorf, between city centre and lake. Rebuilt from scratch for EURO 2008, the Wörthersee Stadion hosts internationals, cup finals and concerts – and on matchdays it is our living room.
