The amateurs of SK Austria Klagenfurt claimed a comfortable home win on Sunday. The Violets saw off FC Faakersee 5-1 (1-0). Maximilian Pflügl and Philipp Friessnegger both scored twice, with Florian Egger adding another goal.

Austria made the better start and took the lead as early as the ninth minute, when Maximilian Pflügl made it 1-0. There were no further goals before the break, so the sides went into the dressing rooms with the hosts holding a narrow advantage.

After the change of ends, the Violets really got going. Just three minutes after the restart, Pflügl was on hand again, doubling the lead with his second goal in the 48th minute to make it 2-0.

FC Faakersee pulled one back through Matthias Michael Wassertheurer in the 53rd minute to make it 2-1. Austria's response was not long in coming, though: only six minutes later, Philipp Friessnegger restored the two-goal cushion with the 3-1.

In this phase, the amateurs were not to be stopped. Florian Egger made it 4-1 in the 62nd minute, before Friessnegger wrapped up the 5-1 final score with his second goal in the 71st minute.

Following the 1-1 draw in Ludmannsdorf, the Austria amateurs are back to winning ways and take three points from the home fixture against Faakersee.
