A successful weekend for the SK Austria Klagenfurt academy: while our AKA U16 defended their lead in the ÖFB Jugendregionalliga U16 with a 2-0 home win over SPG SKU Amstetten, our AKA U15 also picked up a point with a 1-1 draw.
Our AKA U16 are continuing their strong season. Last Saturday, the young Violets hosted SPG SKU Amstetten at the Sportpark Klagenfurt and came away with a 2-0 victory. That made it five games unbeaten in a row for the side, who further strengthened their position at the top of the table.
After nine matches, our U16 have already collected 22 points. With seven wins, one draw and just one defeat, the Austria lead the ÖFB Jugendregionalliga U16 table. Their advantage over second-placed GAK 1902 currently stands at two points.
Our AKA U15 were also in action against the visitors from Amstetten on Saturday. The game at the Sportpark Klagenfurt ended in a 1-1 draw, with both sides sharing the points.
The performances of our academy teams so far highlight the positive development of our young talent. The U16's place at the top of the table in particular underlines the successful season our young Violets are having.
The next challenge for our AKA U16 comes this Saturday, 31 October. The league leaders travel to NWZ TWL Elektra with kick-off at 13:30. The aim there is to continue on the successful path and hold on to top spot.
