With targeted signings, SK Austria Klagenfurt has strengthened its squad for the upcoming Regionalliga season in recent weeks.
The foundation of the team, however, continues to come from Carinthia. Numerous players from the club's own academy and youth system form the backbone of the Violets and stand as a symbol of the path the club has chosen.
In recent months, Sebastian Pschernig, Florian Weiss, Matthias Dollinger, Tom Henrik Pfeiffer, Moritz Tatschl, Din Delic and Tristan Schoppitsch were integrated into the first team or committed to the club long term. Pschernig and Dollinger had already established themselves as regulars during the second half of last season in the 2. Liga, collecting consistent minutes. Moritz Tatschl and Din Delic also gained their first experience at that level. With Alexander Turkin and Kevin Zesch, both first team goalkeepers came through the Austria academy as well. Turkin made his first appearances in the 2. Liga last season, while Zesch featured for Austria Klagenfurt II. Florian Jaritz is another key member of the squad who came through the club's own youth system. The attacking player is currently working on his comeback after injury and stands like few others for the club's successful development pathway.
With Michael Tribusch, Emilian Laurenz Sauper, Fabian Rötzer, Jakob Oberguggenberger and further talents, the next generation of homegrown players moves up into the Regionalliga squad, continuing the Carinthian Way with real consistency.
Michael Tribusch will strengthen the Violets' defence. The centre back is strong in duels and brings team spirit, commitment and great passion. His goal is clear: to develop every day, to grow with the challenges ahead and to take the next step in the SK Austria Klagenfurt shirt.
Emilian Laurenz Sauper is another talent who has made the step from the Austria academy into the Regionalliga squad. The midfielder has already gained his first experience in senior football and now wants to continue his development at Regionalliga level.
Fabian Rötzer made the move from the Austria academy to the amateur side last season and drew attention with his first goals. The versatile attacking player can operate both on the wings and up front, and stands out above all for his pace, intelligent runs and comfort on both feet. His big goal is to collect as many minutes as possible, develop as a player and contribute to SK Austria Klagenfurt's return to the second division.
Jakob Oberguggenberger has been among the most promising players in the Austria academy for years. The midfielder received a youth development contract early on, gained his first experience with Austria Klagenfurt II and now wants to take the next step in the Regionalliga squad.
Tom Henrik Pfeiffer is one of the most versatile players in the Regionalliga squad. The defender can be deployed at centre back, at right back or in defensive midfield. With his physicality, his presence and voice on the pitch and his eye for a penetrating pass, he wants to bring stability to the team. His aim is to develop personally and to achieve promotion together with the squad.
